Oxwich is located on the south of the Gower Peninsula approximately 15 miles from Swansea. The three mile stretch of sandy beach curves around the bay with the rocky headland of Oxwich Point to the right and the Great Tor to the left.

Oxwich village has a fine hotel and pub, the Oxwich Bay Hotel, a general store with cafe and a bus stop with a local service to Swansea and parts of the Gower.
